The community-wide event is designed to provide a chance to meet the varsity Panther football team and coaches before they take off to face the Longview Lobos at Friday’s scrimmage in Longview.
The Panthers faced a hot start, literally. With temps soaring over the 1o0 degree mark during the first week of camp, coaches were faced with a dual focus: keeping the players hydrated and building off spring training.
By the end of the first week, the Panthers were ready for pads. At the end of the second week, the Panthers faced a 3-way scrimmage against Conroe and Huntsville, where the Pack was able to run on both sides of the ball and develop a deep passing game.
As the team has started back into their school routine, all eyes focus on this Friday when the Panthers will play their season opening scrimmage against the Longview Lobos at 7 p.m. at Lobo Stadium.
