2012 Homecoming: Lufkin takes on College Park

The Lufkin Panthers football team headed west again last Friday to take on the Bryan Vikings and dominated. The offense put 47 unanswered points on the board until the Vikings finally scored in the 4th quarter with a touchdown and extra point making the final score 47-7.

Now Lufkin is preparing for the arrival of The Woodlands College Park on John Outlaw Memorial Field this Friday at 7:30pm. Get there early to enjoy the Homecoming festivities. The College Park Cavaliers fought hard last week against A&M Consolidated, finally conceding in overtime 35-28. Now they will travel to Lufkin to attempt to regain some momentum, but the Panthers are on tract to reestablishing dominance in the district and plan to shatter Cavalier hopes.

The Conroe Tigers defeated the Oak Ridge War Eagles 30-24. The Woodlands Highlanders had a bye week.
