Hungry For A Win

After a deep loss to The Woodlands, the Lady Panthers were hungry for a win.

The College Park Cavaliers made a perfect entrée to put the lady Pack back on their winning track.

By the sound of the last buzzer, the Lady Panthers had put up six goals before a five-minutes-left effort by the Lady Cavs to put something on the board made it a 6-1 game.

Rounding out the back and forth battle were Moriah Phillips with two one-on-one goals, Katelynn Flowers put up a goal as well, but it was Josie Solis who put the finishing touches on Lufkin’s win. After a penalty in the box against the Lady Cavs, Solis knocked in the free kick to make it 5-0 and followed that just a few minutes later with another goal, putting the final score on the board for Lufkin.

The Ladies now prepare for bi-district playoffs, which begin for District 5A on March 28.
