Tyler Lee’s Aaliyah Morgan led the way with 20 points as the Lady Raiders handed the Lufkin Lady Panthers their second setback of the season with a 53-36 win in Tyler Tuesday night.
JaKayla Suell led the way for Lufkin with 14 points, but she was the only Lady Panther to reach double digits.
Other Lufkin scorers included Lexie Hood (8), Destinee Holman (5), Kurstyn Harden (3) and Ivie Massie (2).
Ja’Kayla Bowie added 15 points for Tyler Lee.
The Lady Panthers got off to a fast start before Tyler Lee bounced back to tie it at 10-10 after a quarter. Tyler Lee took over from there, outscoring Lufkin 14-5 in the second quarter to take a 24-15 lead into the half.
The Lady Raiders took a 39-24 lead into the fourth quarter before coasting to the win.
Lufkin (8-2) will be back in action as it competes in the Beaumont YMBL tournament, which starts on Thursday. The Lady Panthers’ next home game will be on Tuesday when it hosts Madisonville at 7:30.
