With a District 16-5A title already in hand, there was no let up from the Lufkin Lady Panthers on their Senior Night as they stormed to an 11-0 win over the Whitehouse Lady ‘Cats at Morris Frank Park on Friday night.

For the game, she allowed just one hit while striking out 10 in the five-inning complete game effort.
Lufkin had no such problems at the plate with Jasmine Ibarra and Sara Mayes each delivering a pair of doubles.
After Lufkin got on the board on an RBI single from Mayes in the first inning, the Lady Panthers broke the game open with seven third-inning runs.
The Lady Pack got its first run of the inning on an error before Yami Valdez delivered an RBI on a groundout.
After Lufkin got runs on a Julie Armes fielder’s choice, Hendrix hit a bases-clearing double that gave the Lady Pack an 8-0 virtually putting the game away.
The Lady Panthers then put the 10-run mercy rule into effect in the fourth inning with Valdez hitting an RBI single, Ibarra delivering an RBI double and Mayes hitting an RBI triple.
The Lady Panthers moved to 27-2 on the season and 11-0 in district action with the win.
