The Lufkin Panthers’ basketball team will have to wait a few extra days before opening the 2016-17 season.
Lufkin was originally set to start the season on Tuesday against Marshall, although that game was pushed back to Friday.
The game will now be played at 6 p.m. at Panther Gym with only the varsity competing.
Following Friday’s game, Lufkin will hit the road to take on Tyler Lee at 3 p.m. on Monday before taking a break for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Lufkin is coming of a season in which it advanced to the regional quarterfinals.
