The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has released the 2016-2018 Conference Cutoff numbers, showing that schools with an enrollment of 2,150 students or more would be moved to 6A
Lufkin High School spent the past two years at the recent 5A ranking. Now, with Lufkin High School boasting an enrollment resting at just about 2,200 students, the district will move up to 6A for the next two years.
The UIL has not released district realignment information at this time.
