The Lufkin Panthers took on the Whitehouse Wildcats on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Panther Gym.
By the end of the first quarter, the Panthers had tamed the Wildcats with a decisive early lead. When the buzzer sounded for the second quarter, the Panthers had completely dominated the Wildcats with a 23-4 lead.
The Wildcats that entered the court found some fight and had the Panthers defensively fighting to keep them from coming any closer. Inching ahead, the Wildcats managed to put up 35 points against a strong, aggressive Panther front who maintained the lead during the game.
The final score, 67-35, is another big win for Lufkin who faced Nacogdoches on Thursday, Dec. 14. The Panthers take their fast-paced offense to College Station to face the A&M Consolidated Tigers on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
