2012 Play-off Season is here!

The Lufkin Panthers Varsity football team was already set to head to Huntsville Friday, Nov. 16 to take on Spring DeKaney, but they put the final punctuation on that statement last Friday night on John Outlaw Memorial Field. It was Senior Night, and as a former educator at Lufkin High School, I was pleased to see some of my senior boys play their last regular season game and leave with the win.

Lufkin (#127) is predicted to take the win against the Wildcats (#75) this Friday at 7:00pm so let the caravan begin! The game is at Sam Houston State University and tickets are available at the Panther Ticket Office in the LISD Transportation building (a.k.a., the bus barn) at 811 S. Timberland Drive. The winner of this match-up will face either Lake Travis or Pflugerville next Friday. Come join us as we Back the Pack!

A&M Consolidated dropped a little in the state rankings, but is still the highest ranked team in our district at #36. They will play Klein this Friday at 7:00pm. The Woodlands came in at #70 and will be playing Klein Collins also at 7:00pm this Friday. Conroe will face Westfield in post-season play Friday at 7:30pm.
