The Panthers beat West Mesquite 31-22 to collect another must-win game under their belt to keep the chances of the playoffs alive.
West Mesquite’s defense held QB T.J. Hammond to 31 yards in the air on 5-11 passes. However, the Panther’s rushing game, like always, shined and helped secure the win. The teamed ended the night with 328 rushing yards on 46 carries, and 283 yards were run by Kedren Young.
Young continues to be the workhorse for this offense ending the night with 4 touchdowns and 3 of those coming from the first half of the game. The way Young has been playing, he is going to be the biggest weapon the offense has if the team makes it to the playoffs.
Young also needs to show up big in the last game of the season against the second-place team in the district, which is also a must-win game for the pack. The last game of the season will be against the Lancaster Tigers at home Friday, October 4, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
