Going up against an old rival in a rematch of an earlier game, the Lufkin Lady Panthers’ soccer team couldn’t come up with any answer for a talented Tyler Lee Lady Raiders’ squad as their season ended with a 4-0 bi-district loss on the road Thursday night.
Tyler Lee scored all four of its goals in the first half and never let an outmanned Lufkin team in the game on the way to the bi-district victory.
Alex Bice scored a pair of goals and added an assist and Maddie Bice and Jazmine Varro added a goal apiece.
Tyler Lee scored a goal in the first 10 minutes of the game then added three more in the latter stages of the first half before coasting to the win.
The Lady Raiders, which needed a late goal to battle to a 2-2 tie with Lufkin earlier in the year, improved to 13-5-4 on the season with the win.
The Lady Panthers closed their season with an 11-7-6 record.
