The Panthers are currently ranked 8th in the district after taking a tough loss vs. Forney on September 23rd to close out week 5 of the season. Kedren Young ran for 30 yards and scored twice off of 16 carries. Kevondrick Taylor led the receiver core with 150 yards and a touchdown on 7 receptions. QB TJ Hammond had 16 completed passes out of 30 but gave up two interceptions.
Unfortunately, there will be no Friday Night Lights action this week, as the panthers have a bye week. The action will return on October 7th in Abe Martin stadium for a homecoming game vs. North Mesquite. Hopefully, the panthers can snap their two-game losing streak and climb up the rankings.
