Lufkin Faces New Lineup in UIL Realignment

2016 UIL Realignment

When Lufkin moved to 6A in November, everyone expected a shift in who Lufkin would play in the new season. The Panthers found some familiar faces from past seasons as UIL announced its realignment for 2016. This year’s realignment, however, added a couple of surprises as Lufkin settles into District 12-6A.

Lufkin will face off against Conroe, Conroe Oak Ridge, The Woodlands, and College Park; all formidable opponents Lufkin has played before. This year also brings two newcomers to Lufkin’s lineup in the upcoming football season: Montgomery and Beaumont West Brook.
